Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coins are a highly sought after bullion coin. The Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin is available in many precious metals: the silver Maple Leaf, the gold Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, the platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin and the palladium Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin. The Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin is the official bullion coin of Canada, and has
value as currency as well as bullion. The gold Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin was first
issued in 1979, in response to the popularity of the Krugerrand.
The gold
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin was first issued in .999 gold, and was later issued in .9999
gold, and even special editions in .99999 gold, the purest gold in the world.
Gold Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coins are offered in a variety of sizes: The 1/25th Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, the 1/20th Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, 1/10th the Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin,
the 1/4th Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, the ½ Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, and the 1oz Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin. In 1994, Canada Also released a 1/15th Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, but
it proved unpopular, and 1994 was the only year for the 1/15 Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin. In May of 2007, The Canadian Mint released a one million dollar gold Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coin, although this 100 kilogram Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin had over two
million dollars of gold content at the time. Stanley Witten was the artist who
designed this Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin.
The 100
kilogram Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin was meant to be a one-time product, designed to
highlight the new .99999 pure Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coins that Canada was about to
produce. That changed once buyers came forward offering to buy the 100 kilogram
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, the Canadian Mint offered copies of the coin for $2.5-$3
million dollars. As of May 3rd, 2007 there are five confirmed orders for the
100 Kilogram Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin. In 1988, the Canadian Mint issued both a silver
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coin, and a series of platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin Coins.
The silver Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coin is issued in a 1 troy ounce size, while the
platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin is issued in the following sizes: 1/20 platinum
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, 1/10 platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, 1/4 platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, 1/2 platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, and 1 ounce platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coins. Like the gold Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin, the platinum Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin
also saw a release of a 1/15th Maple Leaf coin in 1994, but it shared the same
fate as the 1/15th gold Maple Leaf coin, and was discontinued after only one
year. No platinum Maple Leaf coins were produced between 2002 and 2009, and
the only platinum Maple Leaf produced in 2002 were 500 sets of holographic platinum
Canadian Maple Leaf Bullion Coin coins.
